2PM’s resident charmer Nichkhun, and actress Kim So Young visited the beautiful island of Bali recently and did a photo shoot for the September issue of Elle Girl Korea. For their couple-themed photo shoot, Nichkhun and Kim So Young are dressed in Jack & Jill, Broner by 햇츠온, MVIO, Misope, Launching M, Orsia, and more!

The styling for the shoot is pretty simple, casual and comfortable, which gives off the soft feeling of romanticism. This photo shoot also showcases the upcoming trends for this fall, with unique mix and match.

In this month’s issue of GQ Korea, 2PM’s Thai Prince Nichkhun reveals his masculine side.

Wearing a checkered suit sponsored by Tom Brown from 10 Corso Como and shirt from Neil Barrett, he looks like a fine gentleman.

Dressed in a white tank top from Skullism, pants from Juun. J and shoes from Cesare Paciotti,  the aviator sunglasses from Blick adds to this simple masculine look which is suitable for the hot summer.

Wearing a blue suit jacket from Gucci, black shirt from Juun. J and satin shoes from Cesare Paciotti, this is a look only Nichkhun can pull off so well.

On the other hand, accompanied by the model in a tube dress by Diane Von Furstenburg,  he looks sleek and cool in black with sunglasses by Blick. If you’re curious about the unique dress the model is wearing, it is from Doho.

The annual Dream Concert brings together the biggest acts in the Korean music industry for a night of fun, festivity, and of course, the glitz and glamor.

This is also the time when artists get the chance to not only strut their stuff on the red carpet, but also to amp up their usual performance outfits. However, most of this year’s performance outfits seemed a bit lackluster.

While you saw the boys looking dapper on the red carpet, how did their onstage style fare? Check out the performance photos of U-Kiss, F.Cuz, ZE:A, MBLAQ, C.N.Blue, BEAST, SHINee, SS501, Rain, 2PM and Super Junior below (in order of appearance onstage).

U-Kiss kicked off the main show with 뭐라고 (Mworago) and 만만하니 (Manmanhani).

While they went with monochromatic black, their shiny accessories added flair and individuality to their outfits. I’m particularly liking Soo Hyun’s zippered and studded motorcycle jacket.

For their performance of ‘Jiggy’ and ‘No One’, the boys of F.Cuz also stuck with the neutrals in their black jeans, black vests, and white coats with black trim. Their stylists could do better by spicing it up with more than just rips and zippers on their jeans.

Finally! Some color! Okay, just a teensy tiny bit.

ZE:A/Children of Empire changed out of their all-white red carpet outfits and into grungy, street looks. Splashes of red and plaid were added to their distressed jeans and black tops.

The five disciples of Rain proved to look as stunning in suits, just like their mentor.

MBLAQ performed their new single Y, in their usual performance outfits — black and white satin suits. Simple but classy, with Lee Joon providing that satisfactory show of skin. Rain would be proud.

The band C.N. Blue was definitely a breath of fresh air, in more ways than one.

Instead of dance moves and ab-flashing, these boys were armed with their instruments and some serious skills at playing them. Not only that, they were the only ones who chose a light palette (shades of light blue, gray, white and khaki) for their outfits. They were a welcome stand out from the dark, tough-guy looks that night.

How’s this for a POP of color?

If BEAST’s suits were screaming red, so were their fans — screaming their lungs out that is. While I’m loving the fun prints on their white shirts, they looked too dressed-down for a big concert stage like this. The relaxed fit and the color of their pants also didn’t help with glamming up their looks. Regardless, to their fans, their beastly charisma were the only accessory they needed.

I guess SM Entertainment decided to give only one set of clothes to Shinee tonight.

Our favorite contemporary boys performed Ring Ding Dong and Noona, You’re So Pretty (Replay) in their red carpet outfits. But I’m not one to complain, I’m definitely loving Maknae Taemin’s necklace and Diva Key’s blazer!

The SS501 sunbaes showed the crowd how they’ve matured as men and as a group.

Looking handsome in classic black suits, they serenaded the stadium with a ballad. Hyun Joong, as always, looked like perfection in his well-fitting suit, and the others jazzed up theirs with silver statement necklaces. However, we see that Kyu Jong’s suit is not so classic after all — check out those wing-style sleeves.

Now, we can’t talk of hot men in suits without mentioning the World Star, Rain / Bi.

I, for one, am thankful that he decided to ditch the motorcycle gang outfits for Hip Song and slipped back into this slick ladies’ man outfit. The man shows the younger  boys how it’s done in his three-piece suit: black trousers, blue polo, gray vest and a black jacket — all of which fit him perfectly. The paisley tie is very Chuck Bass, and Rain pulls it off effortlessly.

While I voted for them as best-dressed on the red carpet, 2PM’s performance outfits were disappointing.

Sure, I get it, these are what you usually wear for Without U performances, but really? No upgrades aside from white stripes running down the inside of your pants? JYP, I know you’re busy with the Wonder Girls’ comeback, but please give these boys spicier, non-mugger-inspired outfits!

Super Junior is back with their new single, 미인아 Miinah (BONAMANA), despite being three members less. While the song is breaking sales records and winning hit charts, their Dream Concert outfits were… more of the same. Decked in all white, with cut-outs, mesh and open buttons — it looks like their stylists just recycled inspiration from their Sorry, Sorry concept and a bit of SNSD’s Run Devil Run as well.

It’s time for Dream Concert 2010! Other than the awesome performances, the celebrities on the red carpet are also one of the main focus of this annual event.

First up let’s take a look at the male Korean celebrities’ red carpet looks! Boy bands Beast, F.Cuz, 2PM, Super Junior, SHINee, and ZE:A were seen on the star-filled red carpets; however, other Dream Concert performers, such as Bi Rain, MBLAQ, SS501 and C.N. Blue were (dissapointingly) nowhere to be seen.

Most of the guys were dressed to impress- some in suits, and others in stylish smart casuals. Check it out, and remember to vote and leave a comment at the end of the post.

B2ST / Beast were one of the best-dressed on the red carpet for Dream Concert 2010. Dressed in simple monochromatic suites and skinny ties, the guys looked really polished and smart-looking. Love how Junhyung accessorized the formal look with a pair of sunglasses; would love to see the rest of the Beast members adding some simple accessories to enhance their outfits for the red carpet!

F.Cuz turned up in all-black outfits for the red carpet. In smart-casual street styles, F.Cuz looks rather uncoordinated in my opinion. Shrunken blazers, waistcoats matched with ripped skinnies just do not belong on the red carpet. LeeU with the studded blazer looks pretty good though; F.Cuz would look really awesome if they coordinated their outfits better. Great choice of footwear (beautiful black high cut sneakers)!

2PM looking really good in well-fitted designer suits. Great accessories (check out those unique brooches) on Chansung and Nichkhun; it really makes them stand out from the rest of the members who just have simple blazers on. Simple, classy and stylish.

Super Junior appeared on the red carpet in all-black outfits. Well-fitted black suits that looks classy yet with a tinge of mystery.

SHINee were the only red carpet attendees who were not in suits. Onew, Taemin, Jonghyun, Minho and Key were dressed in stylish, layered looks with their (favorite) military lace-up studded boots. Minho’s jumpsuit outfit looks rather uncoordinated with the rest of the SHINee members, and the jumpsuit with t-shirt look is just not really suitable for the red carpet. Their looks are such great ’street styles’; maybe just not for the red carpet.

Z:EA / Children of Empire were seen in all-white outfits. All-white outfits look really awful on red carpets (probably due to the harsh flashes from cameras). Some of the individual pieces look pretty good; would love to see them mix and match with at least one more other color.

Kokokoreano’s choice for the best-dressed is a tie between Beast and 2PM! Worst-dressed? F.Cuz.

2PM members, Nichkhun, Junho, Junsu, Taecyeon, Wooyoung and Chansung, were looking great in casual neutral-colored looks at the Samsung Corby event- very different from their zombie-concept during their ‘Heartbeat’ promotional period, and also their formal Calvin Klein suits.

My favorite look among the boys would have to be this; Junsu’s!

Junsu’s design of the blazer looks so formal, but because of the color and material, it gives a smart casual look to him. The checkered bow-tie adds some interesting elements to the outfit.

Great footwear choices for 2PM; military combat boots adds an edge to their looks!

The Seoul Music Awards 2010 was held on the 3rd of February 2010. Some of the guys attendees include, 2PM, Super Junior, SHINee, Beast, and Kim Tae Woo. You may view the Seoul Music Awards 2010 Ladies red carpet looks here.

The red carpet outfits for the guys are just monochromatic, smart looks. Though all of them are in their blacks and whites, all of them look really stylish and polished.

First up is ‘beastly’ boyband, 2PM!

2PM wore smart suits for the red carpet. Very similar to what they had worn at the Calvin Klein Spring 2010 Collection in Seoul.

Super Junior had a change of 2 or 3 outfits for the entire Seoul Music Awards event. For the red carpet walk, they chose black suits paired up with accessories like white bow ties, fedora, sunglasses and other accessories ^^

SHINee’s outfits for the red carpet are of the same concept as their album promotions this time round- lots of leather, studs and details details and more details. The only difference between their outfits seen in Singapore and Korea? Layers!

Onew’s gigantic horseshoe necklace is such a fashion statement, and Key’s pair of denims look more like an art piece than a pair of jeans. Great details of all of them.

Beast showed up in smart casual white outfits. Their outfits are much too white, and white blazers do not necessary have to match white pants. I would have opted black straight-cut or hareem pants, and some combat boots for the boys.

Kim Tae Woo showed up in a formal tailored suit, and up-ed his star looks with a pair of sunglasses. Loving how he used cufflinks for his shirt, but I’m secretly wishing him to pick a more interesting tie to match his tailored suit instead.

My favorite looks for the guys? Though I love SHINee’s outfits, but 2PM’s smart looks for the red carpet won me over.

JYP’s style director reveals working with 2PM behind the scenes

The winner of Project Runway KOREA Lee Wookyung has turned into JYP’s style director. Lee Wookyung revealed what it was like working in JYP as 2PM’s style director on OnMedia’s ‘Style Magazine 2010.’

With innovative ideas and designs, Lee Wookyung worked on various collaborations and received many love calls after winning the first season of Project Runway Korea.

On Style Magazine 2010, Lee Wookyung recently revealed the process it took in completing 2PM’s ‘zombie style’ outfits. She stated “I tried my best to match the outfits to the individual styles of the 6 members.”

In reality, Chansung and Taecyeon are tall and have a great figure so outfits that fit them well match them best. Junsu and Junho look very short compared to the others and so a style that makes them look skinny and long works better. Nichkhun and Wooyoung are the skinniest members and so they look very weak and small up on stage, which is something that must be paid attention to.

Particularly on Nichkhun, she revealed “Khun has the perfect physical attributes closest to a model. I add a jacket or a vest as detail to help him look a bit more impressive compared to the rest of the members. Khun’s outfit is an outfit only he can handle. Whenever I prepare his outfit, I’m always thinking about it from start to finish.”

As an extra note, Lee Wookyung also revealed a special fate-like relationship she has with Park Jinyoung. During her college years, Lee randomly walked the streets of Manhattan, New York and discovered Park Jinyoung. She raced over to him and blurted “I want to be Bi’s stylist.”

Afterwards, Lee Wookyung became JYP’s style director and met Park Jinyoung once more. Park Jinyoung remembered the moment and stated “It really is fate,” unable to hide his surprise and amazement.
