G-Dragon was the cover boy for October’s issue of 1st Look Magazine. The pictorial featured the theme “Rule the Nation,” and G-Dragon definitely ruled the photo set.

G-Dragon predominately wore clothing from the brand Bean Pole. The pictorial featured an urban chic vibe, mixing sharp tailored pieces such as military jackets with laid-back denim.

The entre photo set included a wintry feeling, including down puff jackets, fur lining, and Nordic prints.

Take a cue from G-Dragon this winter and don’t be afraid to bundle up. Keep warm in a military green wool coat (found here), or a classic camel trench (found here). Add a fur scarf or mitts to keep exposed areas warm. In a warmer climate? A Nordic print, whether found on a cozy sweater or on your pants a la G-Dragon, will add a festive vibe no matter how hot it is!

G-Dragon is featured in the cover as well as a photo shoot of 1st Look Magazine in Korea. Dressed in mostly Bean Pole apparels and accessories, G-Dragon shares his hot passion for fashion and music, as well as his recent plans on a “new job” with his friends in the interview.

“When I travel overseas, I will search for and visit really cool shops over there to meet some cool friends. In contrast, when friends from other countries visit Korea, I feel that there’s not many cool places to go or hang out.
I have thoughts to create a really great place with friends. Simply selling clothes and items.
There are already great things to learn from the feel of the street styles in Korea.
I’d like to create a cool cultural space, and pick everything with the people I’m working with, from the style to the interior, music, and all the products”.

Big Bang‘s leader and fashionista G-Dragon showed his trendy fashion style through Bean Pole. Through various outfits that he chose and coordinated himself, GD showed how to rock all kinds of outfits, from stylish, fun, casual to semi casual styles.

He even chose different accessories that matched and highlighted each outfit. His use of leather gloves, bracelet and a unique belt made his casual styled outfit look special and different.

Also, G-Dragon‘s use of fun and unique accessories like the studded suspenders, rings, sunglasses, bow ties, belts, earrings and shoes completed his look.

“Welcome to the Gmarket I’m captain G.”

G-Dragon is currently endorsing Korean auction and shopping site, Gmarket. With the endorsement, a new song, Gmarket Party, was composed, and a making-of clip of the commercial was released on Gmarket. In the commercial, as while as pictures all around Gmarket website, pictures of G-Dragon in several trend-setting outfits can been spotted.

In the song, Gmarket Party, the lyrics are filled with words that implies fashion and trend-setters. In the first line of the lyrics, it says, “앞서지 않으면 패션이 아니다”, which meant ‘if you are not in the front, you are not in fashion’.

In BEAST‘s 숨 (Breath) music video, Doo Joon was spotting something similar to watch 2NE1‘s CL wore in 2NE1′s Go Away music video. After checking a Big Bang/2NE1 fashion site, BIG21FASHION, Big Bang‘s G-Dragon was also spotted in the same jacket in the Optimus One CF! Jay Park was seen in the same jacket in a photo shoot in the November issue of VOGUE Girl Korea magazine.

In 2008, Numero Korea, a fashion magazine from France had the privileged of shooting G-Dragon of Big Bang on their cover page. For the shoot, G-Dragon wore a bareback styled satin top, a pair of jeans and gloves. He powered the shoot with a dark, gothic concept which shows his manliness.

In a recent shoot for Vogue Korea, CN Blue‘s Lee Jung Shin was spotted with a bareback styled top similar to what G-Dragon had wore for Numero Korea. Jung Shin also wore a pair of jeans and instead of roses, he held on to the top of a cane.

So tell us, who wore it better? G-Dragon or Lee Jung Shin (or none)?

Strutting down the red carpet, the Big Bang boys are seen looking dapper and fashionable in all-black. Though I must say that Seungri’s ensemble of lavender tie and black suit looked rather boring.

On the plus side, ever-trendy, G-Dragon, is seen making a statement with 3/4 pants and tights. Plus, is that a pair of Christian Louboutin Hi-Top Sneakers, I see? Same goes for you too, TOP. Those white Christian Louboutin leather shoes match well with the printed polo tee. Giving a unique edge to the smart-looking style.

Of course, there are Taeyang and Daesung rocking the classy vest and suit with black combat boots. Nice going there, ‘stylists’!

Anyway, while the Big Bang boys look fiery hot on the red carpet, the 2NE1 girls look… fiery not. Seen in clashing prints and bright colours, the girls look more flashy -literally- than sexy. In my opinion, Minzy should not combine the jacket and top with those leggings and Adidas Originals. Feels as though there is too much going on -especially with Dara looking remarkably loud beside her.

Dara takes attention-grabbing to a whole new level. With the mix of eccentric prints, chunky accessories, mismatched high-tops and her signature hair-do, it is very contrasting to CL‘s simple outfit of balancing out the loud prints on her jacket with the understated look of the black jeans dotted in cheetah-like spots.

As for Bom Bunny, she looks really cute in the minidress though it can be better if it were in a different and darker colour so that it compliments her fair complexion.

G-Dragon, leader of Big Bang, is seen wearing Givenchy Spring / Summer 2010 ready-to-wear Men’s collection shirt to ‘Shine A Light’ movie premiere at Seoul Yeongdeungpo, and also in his Me2day update on 15th April.

G-Dragon shows his charismatic looks in a black formal shirt, without losing his own sense of style. Those gold star-shaped studs are major details in Givenchy’s S/S 2010 Men’s collection, and they add so much more stylish points to a simple shirt.

For this first Christmas special post at Kokokoreano, I have gathered inspirations from various Korean magazines to show you how to stay warm, yet stylish, this Winter season!
Who says that you have to dress in dull colors and bulky clothing for the Winter?
The most important thing is to layer with different colors, prints, textures, and add interesting touches to the outfit.

Let’s start with the accessories.

Mufflers (or scarves) in different designs and methods of tying! These can add more texture (and color) to your outfits while keeping you warm. This season, I’m in love with the circle scarf from American Apparel and those large knitted ones.

Hats and beanies for the winter season! Beanies with the ‘pom pom’ on the top is real hot now! You can see G-dragon spotting one of these in one of the pictures below in this post ^^

Next, the most popular item that Korean celebrities have been spotting (even on the red carpets), fur! Fur vests actually!

By adding one more black winter coat or jacket, and you’ll be ready to go! Loving the different textures of blacks and the stylish boots, which is such a necessary for the the winter.

GD with the ‘pom pom’ beanie! This fashionista has been spotted with this kind of beanie a number of occasions this year. And the padded winter vest is real in style this season as well! I spotted some fabulous ones at Uniqlo, and it seems like Fila stocks them too. Go try em’ on!

This is what I call layering! Fabulous outfit, but probably more suited for the not-so-freezing days.
