Song Ji Hyo was featured in the January issue of Harper’s BAZAAR, featuring a dreamlike pictorial as ‘The Lady in Red.’

Ji Hyo was dressed entirely in scarlet outfits, with a flowing red backdrop, red makeup, even red tinted hair to accentuate the theme. In her first look, the actress looked eerily beautiful with a completely bare face except for some dramatic red eye shadow. A luxurious fur stole and windswept hair made the look very soft, while Ji Hyo’s sensual pose suggested she could have been n a boudoir.

Song Ji Hyo’s second look featured nude makeup and let her inner beauty shine. I especially liked the low back of the dress, which added another element of interest besides the attention grabbing color and sequins. Ji Hyo’s pose, holding her arm while her sleeve slipped ever so slightly off her shoulder also added mystery and sensuality to the shoot.

This wasn’t my favorite look, as I thought dress draped over Song Ji Hyo awkwardly and looked a bit boring. However, I loved the red lip she sported.

This was my favorite look from the set. I loved the red-toned blush. It didn’t look overdone at all, instead just providing a bit of glamor and accentuating the theme of the shoot. Despite her red lips and cheeks, Song Ji Hyo’s bare eyes toned down the rest of the makeup for something that could be completely wearable.

Song Ji Hyo sure showed us ways of wearing red this Lunar New Year; so, which is your favorite look?

Jang Geun Suk shot a pictorial for High Cut magazine’s 68th issue. The goal was to channel a mix of outfits combining chic 70s wear while maintaining the modern and sensible wardrobe seen on runways this year.

This particular pictorial probably wouldn’t have worked as well using any other star, as you would need a lot of charisma, charm and confidence to pull off some of the outfits. Jang Geun Suk’s first look featured a white, knit turtleneck. This look was all about contrast. The white of the sweater against a black backdrop, vivid scarlet of the rose, Jang Geun’s smoldering stare compared to such an innocent looking sweater. The concept of smoking a rose added another layer of depth and mystery to this photo.

His next photos featured the same long hair as his character in the upcoming drama “Love Rain.” The first featured a loose, two-toned gray cardigan by Rick Owens. Despite the simplicity of the outfit, Jang Geun pulled off that effortlessly chic look we all crave.

Here we can really see the 70s influence on the photo shoot. While the gold tailcoat paired with a dark purple t-shirt looked amazing, floral pants by Alexander Wang failed to deliver. The gold necklace was a nice touch, tying in the colors in the pants with the jacket. Although this isn’t my favorite look, Jang Geun Suk managed to pull it off better than most others.

Again, his last look featured some interesting pants, this time from Tom Greyhound. Buckles provided a point of focus, while pleating added extra interest and detail. And that hair! A refreshing change from the longer styles he sports in the dramas “Mary Stayed Out All Night” and now “Love Rain.”

INFINITE recently participated in a photo shoot with High Cut magazine, despite being busy preparing for their first solo concert. Photographer Joo Yong Kyun praised INFINITE for having endless passion, as well as their potential as models. The entire shoot had eight themes and featured looks varying from preppy with polo shirts and knit sweaters, to cooler, edgier outfits with leather and fur.

The first photo’s theme focused on black and gray, featuring items from Doctor Martin, Ann Demeulemeester and Bell & Nouveau.

In lead vocalist L’s individual photo, he gazed intently into the camera, portraying the same intense look as his outfit. A fur vest by Joey Richie was featured, as well as a cardigan from SYSTEM HOMME.

Sungjong, Sungyeol, and Woohyun were also featured as a trio clad in white. Sungjong wore an ivory jacket from Vanhart Homme, while Sunyeol’s dark gray shirt was by Neil Barrett. Woohyun’s outfit focused on a knit sweater from Solid Homme and gray trousers from Emporio Armoni.

InStyle Korea recently collaborated with Song Ji Hyo for a pictorial to feature her slender legs and dreamy charm. The pictorial used a monotone look, using primarily black and grey in the color palette, as well as focusing on the use of faux fur accessories.

Despite featuring clothes that were highly contrasting, such as delicate fabrics with a biker inspired jacket and heavy boots, the pictorial managed to produce the dreamy, ethereal theme they were aiming for.

As a second look, Ji Hyo wore a black, white and grey striped sweater, which would have been rather boring if not for the geometric design on the front. A large fuzzy fur jacket, long socks and white boots also helped to jazz up the look.

Another look which focused on highly contrasting fabrics and themes. Ji Hyo looked glamorous in a black, sequined dress with a long beaded fringe. The grey fur collar added softness to the dress, while a large felt hat lessened the femininity of the outfit and added the cool factor.

Ji Hyo’s fourth outfit was by far the most striking. A long faux fur jacket and cute booties showed off her slender legs while a tiny red belt added a spark of drama and emphasized Ji Hyo’s small waist.

Which is your favorite look on Song Ji Hyo?

Organized by Reer Media, the 7 boys of Block B made their way to Singapore for a showcase and fanmeet recently. We met members Zico, Taeil, B-Bomb, Jaehyo, U-Kwon, Kyung and P.O at their media conference on 28 December. Dressed in black and white suits, leader Zico began by rushedly apologizing on behalf of the group for their lateness.

It was a lighthearted media conference, starting from questions about how they feel about Singapore to ones regarding household chores! Interesting questions and answers came up, like which Korean food they felt best represent themselves. Meaningful answers such as “kimchi, since it’s both sweet and sour at the same time” (from Taeil) and “pork belly, because it tastes heavenly with kimchi and rice, and you have to wait for it to cook slowly to taste nice” (from Jaehyo).

Block B also revealed that they will be having a new album out in February, and teased that there will be a rap in the intro track. When asked about collaborations they’d like to do, Zico mentioned Korea songstress Younha for a ballad song while B-Bomb is in the search of a suitable partner for a dance collaboration.

Kokokoreano also had the chance to join in the fun with BBCs at their fanmeet on the same day at Tampines Mall. Other than signing albums and hi-5ing fans, they performed a short part of what fans now are suspecting to be a track from their new album. Wearing the same suits from the press conference in the afternoon, Block B made their way up the stage to meet their Singaporean fans for the first official time.

The boys of Block B expressed their surprise in having so many BBCs here in Singapore and were thankful that many fans also came to pick them up at the airport. It was an eventful fanmeet, with the playful boys doodling on the tablecloth and sitting on the table itself for the hi-5 session (that’ll be youngest member P.O). Screams were constant through the two-hour fanmeet filled with fanservice. Receiving each gift thankfully and looking into fans’ eyes while they signed showed their sincerity for every fan who turned up that day for them.

Held at St James Power Station on 29 December, Do You Wanna Be? Block B! showcase was almost 2 hours long and had fans queueing up outside the venue since as early as 7am. To say the least, it was a success and fans were wanting Block B back again as soon as their first ever Singapore showcase ended.

The members came on stage with a bang, showing off their powerful dance moves and stable vocals with ‘Halo’. Right after that, 7 lucky fans were invited up on stage to be paired with a Block B member and the teams had to have a freestyle dance battle. They also performed ‘Wanna B’, ‘Freeze’ and ‘Tell Them’, alongside an interesting game of charades (mermaids, Popeye, pigs and Marilyn Monroe-style Block B, anyone?). Fans, alongside organizer Reer Media, held a surprise birthday celebration for B-Bomb and Jaehyo, singing them a birthday song. Ending off their showcase, they threw out Christmas candy canes to the fans and did an amazing encore song of ‘Let’s Get Retarded’ by Black Eyed Peas.

Gong Hyo Jin, the lead actress in 2011 MBC Drama Awards’ Drama of the Year, ‘Best Love,’ was seen on the red carpet of 2011 MBC Drama Awards on 30 December 2011.

While the yellow maxi dress may look like a simple and casual piece, the back cut-out details at the torso area and the huge pockets in the front made this dress a winner for me (still, probably not for a formal red carpet event though).

This dress, as worn by Gong Hyo Jin, is from pushBUTTON Spring/Summer 2011 collection, whose designer is Park Seung Gun. Gong Hyo Jin was also seen in the front rows during Seoul Fashion Week’s pushBUTTON Spring/Summer 2011 collection show.

Elle Girl recently released a preview of Go Ara’s pictorial which will be featured in their January edition.

Go Ara is renowned for her doll-like beauty and youthful appearance. Many of her past pictorials have focused on this aspect of her, but Elle Girl changed it up and took on a sportier theme featuring props such as trophies and sports helmets.

Rather than her usual feminine photo shoots, Elle Girl’s featured more of a winter look, focusing on lots of layers and messy, windswept hair. Loose tops were paired with heavy knits and long cardigans and coats. Tighter bottoms kept everything balanced so that nothing overwhelmed Ara’s gorgeous figure.

Take a cue from Ara and romp around outside in a chunky scarf and long jacket. You can still look great despite the chilly weather!

While usually known for their cute and sweet image, Dal Shabet decided to portray a more glamorous image for their “Star Pictorial.”

The photo shoot was set in the Philippines, where the girls displayed a variety of looks and outfits. They took advantage of the beautiful scenery and ocean theme, offering fun summertime looks as well as some retro inspired nautical outfits. Rompers, stripes and a lot of fun colors were some of the dominant themes in the pictorial.

The girls also decided to glam it up for the pictorial. Darker hues and bold red were featured, as well as smoky eyes and chunky accessories.

Jessica, the ‘Ice Princess’ of Girls’ Generation, is featured in a photo shoot, titled ‘Break The Ice,’ in the December issue of 1st Look magazine. Jessica arrived at the set dressed comfortably in a simple tee and jeans, and transforms herself with various accessories and props, into different looks for the photo shoot.

Alice meets high fashion thanks to the Wonder Girls’ latest photo spread with VOGUE Korea.

The five girls each portrayed a specific character from the classic children’s story suited to their individual quirks and charms. Despite the light and airy feeling of the original, the Wonder Girls turned it into something wonderfully dark and eccentric, akin to Tim Burton’s take on the story.

Sohee played the part of the White Rabbit, while Sun Ye chased after her as Alice. Ye Eun became the White Queen, sitting majestically upon a wooden horse. The stark contrast between her black dress, dark lips, and platinum hair added to the dark atmosphere of the pictorial.

Yoobin transformed into the Mad Hatter, who looked to be asking his trademark riddle, “Why is a raven like a writing desk?” Lim portrayed the Red Queen, complete with red locks à la Burton. Lim’s red fur and hair looked stunning against the monotone color scheme of the Mad Hatter.
